hello hello hello
Still on the topic of colours in interior spaces, this post is all about the colour *druuuum roll* YELLOW ☀️☀️☀️. Okay so by now, we’ve probably all registered that I’m always down for a good ol’ neutral colour scheme but I’ve been trying to work on that for the sake of colour psychology & future clients of course because well, I’m bound to come across some that are bright and lively and jolly and want bright and lively and jolly spaces.
So check out these pictures of how yellow has been used in interiors without it being too much/ overwhelming:
Quick tip: never overdo the yellow
(wow this should be on a shirt). While it has positive qualities relating to happiness, confidence, optimism, comfort etc, it is best used as an accent colour. This is because being surrounded by too much yellow, according to colour psychology can result in irrationality, anxiety so the right shade of yellow in the right proportion and in the right room should always be taken into consideration.
ps- now that I think about it, my favourite combos featuring the colour yellow are; yellow, black & white/ yellow, beige and gold.
pps- editing this and just realised I unconsciously wore a yellow scarf & carried a yellow handbag today,,, coincidence?
